Event Planned 27 -30 September 2018: – 2 days of training offered to carriage drivers followed by a 2-day carriage driving event with a variety of classes offered to cater for most turnouts, ranging from novice to experienced drivers and horses, to heavy horse enthusiasts and those who prefer competing during the winter indoors and can have the opportunity to practice ahead of the coming season.

New for the event will be a different obstacle comprising of large Costa Coffee style cups for competitors to negotiate. Pictures to follow. The other 5 obstacles are made from Oast houses, oversized furniture (Alice in Wonderland style), solid coloured squares and triangles, plus blue barrels and coloured barriers.
Drivers will have to complete a dressage test, obstacle negotiation on a course up to 11 km in length and a cones course. Shorter routes are available for less adventurous competitors or for those whose animals are not as fit. Event will be run along rules outlined in British Carriagedriving which is the governing body for the sport and held under the Weald Harness Club banner.
Evening entertainment for Saturday 29th September will include a hog roast and ceilidh with a live band and caller.
Food and drink will be available during the event. No set fees planned but donations welcome.
The training on offer will be dependant on what the drivers want to improve upon.
